Red Wine, So Good!

"Wine is sunlight, held together by water."

                                         ~Galileo Galilei

Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Pinot Noir are my favorites. I was not always a red wine lover but like most things in life, we get better at them with practice! Today, I enjoy red wine with dinner, and maybe a sip while preparing the meal.

The good news is that we have the green light on this beverage, as long as we keep it to one glass a day!

The antioxidants in red wine contain powerful health benefits such as improved heart health, helping prevent coronary artery disease, and decreasing the risk of Alzheimers, diabetes, cancers and depression.

Consuming antioxidant rich foods help fight off inflammation which can be a main symptom to disease progression.

Studies have linked regular consumption of red wine with an increase of the good cholesterol, HDl, lowering the bad cholesterol LDL, improving blood pressure and also lowering the amount of lipids or fat found in blood.

Added Bonus: a cup of red wine in any beef dish, particularly beef stew or stroganoff is a game changer!

Lets all raise a glass and toast to a health benefit we actually can enjoy!
