My absolute favorite time of year is upon us, and I have quite a list of the good stuff. So lace up your hiking boots and break out the warm fuzzy throws and crockpots! Pumpkin recipes await... and pumpkin being so highly rich in vitamins and minerals-and not many calories gives us the green light!

 

 

Here We Go! 

 

1. Stroll through the woods, hiking in the White Mountains is the ultimate weekend activity happening right now!

2.Visiting a Apple Orchard, Windy Ridge in Haverhill is packed with pick your own apples, pumpkins, homemade cider donuts and wine

3. Carving Jack-O-Lanterns

4. Roast pumpkin seeds

5. Leaf peeping-in the country, take a drive through the Kancgamangus Highway

6. Roast smores at a bonfire

7. Play touch football or soccer

8. Go for a hayride

9. Burn plenty of fall scented candles, my favorites are Autumn Leaves and Pumpkin Spice

10. Decorate the front door and porch with a autumn wreath, mums and pumpkins

11. Make a fabulous homemade Halloween costume

12. Host a spooky Halloween party 

13. Bake bread from scratch

14. Make a huge pot of homemade soup: corn chowder or seafood chowder 

15. Homemade applesauce, apple pie or apple crisp 

16. Break out your scarves, jeans and boots

17. Get lost in a corn maze

18. Have a family photo shoot outside 

19. Host a pumpkin painting party

20. Pet farm animals

21. Make leaf art

22. Go on a nature/scavenger hunt

23. Read a book under a throw in front of a cozy fire

24. Enjoy the pumpkin spice season with pumpkin pancakes, coffee, and smoothies

25. Rake and Jump in the Leaves

26. Have a movie marathon including Charlie Browns Great Pumpkin, and Hocus Pocus

27. Attend a County Fair or Fall Festival

28. Collect pinecones and acorns; make crafts i.e. photo frames, bird feeders, Christmas ornaments

29. Visit a ghost town, ghost walk or take a trip to Salem Massachusetts 

30. Host a tailgating party complete with chili and cornbread

31. Spice up your kitchen with homemade fall potpourri in crockpot

32. Make popcorn balls

33. Stargaze, camp out under stars

34. Make Halloween Slime

35. Spend afternoon antiquing and visiting flea markets

36. Knit warm cozy socks

37. Write a Homemade letter to Grammy and Grampa on Grandparents Day
